Eventhough, summer is not over — as far as we’re concerened, school is back in session. The Savvy Dolls are definitely pro education and believe knowledge is power. However there are some things that school doesn’t teach you. In an effort to spread the Savvy Dolls propaganda, we will drop some knowledge that will make you savvier than your classmates.

Lesson 1:

Stay in school! Yes it’s boring sometimes, and the teacher is clueless sometimes and your fellow students are idiots sometimes, but you must persevere. It’s a test. It tests your self discipline and your will power. Survival of the fittest. While you’re there, you might as well learn something. Learn something about the subject taught in class, learn how to socialize with people, or learn how to tolerate injustices when you don’t get as high a grade as you felt that you deserved. Just learn something! Don’t waste your time in class. You have to be there, so just make good use of your time there.

After a nice shower she finally hits the hay at about 7am. She wakes up at about 3pm, has a late brunch, tidys up her apartment, and gets ready to go roam the city at 6pm.

Robert is a tall musician that caught her eye as he strummed his guitar and crooned in the bar that she frequented. He had an alternative edge to his good looks. His intelligence and depth is what ultimately had Skye hooked, lined and sinkered.

“Bonjour” - hello (literally “good day” and you greet any stranger that you make eye contact with in the street with “bonjour”. You see the French are a friendly bunch!)

“Merci” - “thank you”

“S’il vous plait” or S’il te plait” - “please” (please and thank you’s are always welcomed in any country)

“Parlez vous anglais?” - Do you speak English? (once you get the basic phrases out, the natives should be more receptive to speaking English if they know any)

2. The “City of Lights” is not cheap! After all it costs a lot of money to keep those lights on.

3. None of the Savvy Dolls were available to go with her.
